P90x Day 41 - Kenpo X

I ALMOST skipped this and did it tomorrow, but decided I better stick with it.  Glad I did.  It was a good workout, despite it being 10pm. I'm noticing how tight my left leg is vs my right leg, so I think I might put some extra stretch time in during the next few weeks to see if that helps

Tomorrow is Rest/Stretch day.

P90x Day 40 - Legs & Back and Ab Ripper X

Decent workout today.  I've been pretty sluggish all week, but managed to get through this one too.  I improved rep count by one per excercise.  Considering my sleep schedule, it's pretty good.   I still think this is my least favorite workout, but was glad to see I'm not tiring out as quickly.

Ab Ripper X - I did it first, which is a huge difference.  It's the first time I was able to do the last excercise all the way through.  I normally take a 3-5 rep break at #35, but didn't have to.

Kicking and Punching tomorrow. yeah.

P90x Day 39 - Yoga X

Yoga went pretty well.  I still struggle with a few of the poses, but overall I'm getting better for sure.  That stupid reverse half-moon hold gets me everytime, but I think I'll be able to get it down before 90 days are up.  Hopefully.

P90x Day 38 - Back & Biceps and Ab Ripper X

Nice workout today. I'm not a huge fan of doing them so late in the evening, but my schedule is getting tighter and tighter, so I'm finding it easier.  Hopefully, it'll change soon.  Anyhow, I upped my weight/bands resistance quite a bit just to really work things and it was pretty nice.  I also managed to do a few more pull ups than normal, although "corn cob pullups" are still hard for me.

Ab Ripper X, again good.  I figure about another week or so and I should have it down solid.

P90x Day 37 - Plyometrics

Man, what a bad workout. I didn't get to this until 9:00pm tonight, and was already pretty sluggish. I didn't add any additional breaks or pause the video, but I definitely modified a few excercises to get through it.

Hopefully next weeks will be better.

Looking forward to tomorrow's shortest workout of 52 minutes.

P90x Day 36 - Chest, Shoulders & Triceps & Ab Ripper X

Doing this workout on Superbowl Sunday was interesting. Because I was hosting a party, I had to do this at 8am.  I have to say, while I didn't regress, I didn't really make any gains over last week. I was tired, lacked energy, and all around was pretty unmotivated, mainly because we had family in the next room.

Ab Ripper x went pretty well thought. Definitely getting this one down.

P90x Day 34 - Kenpo X

Great workout today, especially because I was joined by members of the Coiley family.  I think I'm just about at the point, that I'll need to add an additional cardio exercise to this, as I'm getting through it pretty easily now.  Maybe an additional 30 minutes of bike or something.  In any case, progress is happening, as to whether or not I'm losing weight, that remains to be seen.

I feel better though.

P90x Day 33 - Legs & Back and Ab Ripper X

Good workout today.  Everything improved - from pullups to doing wall sits without taking extra breaks.
I even did the Ab Ripper X excercise afterwards and managed to get through it all.

P90x Day 32 - Yoga X

Nice Yoga workout tonight.  It came just in time, after a rough day of work, crying children and other normal life stuff.  I'm still struggling with a couple balance postures, but in general am more flexible and am able to hold poses longer.  Even managed to hold 'crane' for about 10 seconds.  

In any case, I'm pleased so far.  My only wish is that yoga was about 30 minutes less.  90 minutes is a big chunk time.

P90x Day 31 - Back & Biceps & Ab Ripper X

I like this workout, because it's 52 minutes long.  I think I'll probably need to get some bigger weights after this week, because of how strong I will be.  Curls and chin ups, curls and chin ups.  It gets difficult.  I can't tell if it's the chin up bar, or my weak back, but I find it difficult to do pull ups after about 8 or 9 reps.  So I alternate between the bands and the bar.  It seems to work.

For Ab Ripper X, I forgot about it, until about 20 minutes ago, so I quickly did it.  Amazingly, it makes a huge difference separating the two workouts.  I probably won't do that too often, because of the timing, but something to note for sure.

P90x Day 30 - Plyometrics

Today I'm officially 1/3 of the way through P90x.   Of course today would be Plyometrics, a nice but grueling workout.  My legs have definitely enjoyed the time off during recovery week, as I struggled today.  I say that, but really, I have improved, since I didn't add extra breaks and managed to do all the reps, so I can tell I'm in better shape than when I started.

I didn't take any measurements, weigh myself, or even take pictures so I don't have anything to really compare to from 30 days ago.  I can say that clothing is fitting a little better, am more flexible, a little stronger and I've noticed a decent improvement in my posture.  I'd guess I lost 5 or 6 lbs.  I imagine results would be better if I didn't have a kegerator, but really, what's the point of working out if you can't offset it with some delicious beer.
